Real Estate Flyers
The key to being successful as a real estate agent is getting the word out and separating yourself from the competition. While being a real estate agent has many benefits including the ability to work mostly for yourself, being an agent comes with one distinct disadvantage; lots of competition. Unless you live in the middle of nowhere you are certain to be competing with other realtors competing for the same business. This means that you need to spend most of your time and resources on getting the word out and marketing yourself.
Flyers are one very easy and cost effective way of getting the word out about your business. A flyer gives buyers the opportunity to look over the distinct advantages and benefits of a particular property. A single flyer can convey all of the information a buyer needs to know about a piece of property. Unfortunately a flyer has a very limited amount of space so you really have to maximize the use of that space by using attention grabbers and exciting language.
Realistically you only have a couple of sentences to work with when creating your flyer so you have to be somewhat concise. You need to make the most of that space by limiting yourself exclusively to the benefits of the property. The question you need to ask yourself is, “what makes this property unique and different from other homes in the area?” If you are uncertain how to do this you may wish to consult with a marketing consultant who specializes in writing sales copy. Pictures really are worth a thousand words so you absolutely must be sure to include the best pictures possible of the home you are describing.
Before you start creating and distributing your flyers, it’s usually a good idea to inspect the flyers of your competitors. The last thing you want to do is create flyers that look just like all of the other flyers out there. At the same time, you need to learn what makes your competitors flyers stand out and grab people’s attention. Once you have identified what seems to work you then need to put a different spin on it and add your own panache. It’s also a good idea to research the demographics you are marketing in. You need to uncover things like average household income, values, needs, preferences, etc.
Flyers are astonishingly cheap to print. If you already own a laser printer and also have a professional design program on your home computer you can print flyers for as cheap as $5 per one hundred flyers. If you don’t have a laser printer or design program then you can still save a ton of money by buying your flyers in bulk. Even if you order high gloss, color paper you should still not have to pay more than five or six cents per flyer. If you really want to consider getting the word out about your business you should consider hiring some teenagers or college students to distribute your flyers for you. They can distribute thousands to homes and social gathering places in a matter of days.
